Graves disease is the diagnosis - thyroid autoantibodies are increased. Almost 80% of patients have exopthalmos. Medical treatment such as carbimazole or radioiodine treatment are recommended rather than surgery. There will be increased uptake on the thyroid radioisotope scan.
