Penicillamine is a DMARD which can is used in Rheumatoid arthritis, Juvenile chronic arthritis and as a copper binder in Wilson’s hepatolenticular degeneration. It is also used in PBC, chronic active hepatitis and cystinuria. It can cause aplastic anaemia and thrombocytopenia, proteinuria and loss of taste.
