Coarctation of the aorta is associated with Turner’s syndrome, neurofibromatosis, bicuspid aortic valve, and more weakly with VSD and ASD. Stroke may result from hypertension or from associated berry aneurysms. It is more common in males. Notching of ribs is seen, typically between 3 to 8.
