Flecainide is a class Ic antiarrhythmic drug. It helps restoration of sinus rhythm and prevent recurrence of AF. Flecainide may prolong QT interval. The drug was used in the Cardiac Arrhythmia Suppression Trial (CAST) trial, and was associated with increased mortality in patients with ischaemic heart disease.

Sotalol has class II (beta-blocker) and class III antiarrhythmic actions.

Nifedipine is a dihydropyridine. The mechanism of action is smooth muscle relaxation and reduction in peripheral vascular resistance.
